How to Type and Correct Words on a Chromebook

What you need: A Chromebook that you have signed in to, with its built-in touchpad.

Steps

  1. Click Launcher, the circle at the lower-left corner of the screen. To click, slide one finger on the touchpad to move the pointer onto it, then press the lower half of the touchpad once and let go.
  2. Type Chrome, then click Chrome in the results.
  3. Click the long address bar at the top of Chrome. A thin blinking line appears in it. What you type appears at the blinking line.
  4. Type morning walk. Press each letter key once, briefly, and press the long Space bar at the bottom of the keyboard once between the two words.
  5. Press Backspace, at the right end of the row of numbers, once. The letter just before the blinking line, k, disappears. Press the K key to put it back.
  6. Hold down Shift, at the left end of the bottom row of letters. While holding it, press A once, then let go of both keys. A capital A appears.

Expected result: The address bar shows morning walkA, with a space between the two words.
