How to Find Apps on the Chromebook Shelf
What you need: A Chromebook that you have signed in to, with its built-in touchpad.
Steps
- Find the shelf, the row of small pictures of apps along the bottom of the screen. If you do not see it, move the pointer to the very bottom edge of the screen and keep it there until the shelf slides up.
- Move the pointer onto one of the pictures on the shelf and hold it still. A small label shows the app's name. Move the pointer along the shelf to see the names of the other pictures.
- Find Chrome on the shelf: a circle in red, yellow and green around a blue center. Click it: press the lower half of the touchpad once and let go. A Chrome window opens, or comes to the front if Chrome was already open.
Expected result: You saw the names of the apps on the shelf and opened Chrome from it.
