How to Replace Words in Text on a Chromebook

What you need: A Chromebook with Chrome open on a web page that has a box with words you want to change, such as a message you are writing.

Steps

1. Move the pointer just in front of the first letter you want to change.
2. Press down on the lower half of the touchpad with one finger. Keep pressing while you slide that finger to the end of the last word you want to change, then lift it. The words are highlighted with a colored background.
3. Check that only the words you want to change are highlighted. If not, click once elsewhere in the box to remove the highlight, then do steps 1 and 2 again.
4. Type the new words. The highlighted words disappear as you start typing, and the new words take their place.

Expected result: The new words appear where the highlighted words were.
