How to Check the ChromeOS Version on a Chromebook

What you need: A Chromebook.

Steps

1. Click the time in the lower-right corner of the screen, then click Settings, the gear symbol in the panel that opens.
2. In Settings, click About ChromeOS near the bottom of the left side.
3. Under Google ChromeOS, read the version number. Write it down if you need it later.

Expected result: You have read the ChromeOS version number shown by the Chromebook.
