How to Check Your Camera and Microphone Before a Video Visit on an Android Phone
What you need: An Android phone with the Chrome app, the app with a round red, yellow and green icon with a blue center.
Before you begin: The test page is free. When you tap its buttons, Chrome may ask whether the page may use your microphone and then your camera, and your phone may ask too. Choosing Allow while visiting the site lets this website use them on your next visits as well, so it does not need to ask again. Nothing you say or show is recorded, saved or sent. The page turns your microphone and camera off by itself during the test, and also when you leave the page. If your video visit opens in Chrome, this test shows whether Chrome can use your camera and microphone for it.
