Computer word
What Is a Computer Password?
A computer password is the password you use to sign in to that computer. A website asking you to sign in to a Google account is asking for that account’s password, which may be different.
What it looks like
Read the label near the box: PIN, Password and Google account tell you what is being requested. A PIN is another way to sign in on some computers; it is not the Google account password.
On Windows and on a Mac
Windows can use a PIN or a password to sign in; a Windows PIN belongs to that device. A Mac uses its computer account password. The computer’s sign-in and a website’s sign-in are separate.
